COVID-19 Response

As an essential services provider, we are actively working to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Kenya and preparing to build back better. We are experienced in partnering with local governments to support the research, design, implementation, and monitoring of safely managed sanitation.

Immediate Response with Safe Sanitation Services

WASH is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19 and yet WASH services are at risk of being disrupted by the pandemic. We are working with the local public health department and water utilities to increase access to sanitation and handwashing, ensure shared water points and sanitation facilities are safe, and monitor the impacts of WASH interventions in high-risk areas.

Building Back Better with Water Utilities

Water utilities are key leaders in their communities to "flatten the  COVID-19 curve.” We are supporting: 1) a community of practice of water utilities in Kenya and 2) recovery and rebuild approaches from our country-wide assessment of the needs of water utilities.
